The Central Library of the College, strategically located at the center of the main block spanning across two floors, began its journey with the inception of the College in 1964. With a generous seating capacity of 186 students and covering a total area of 518 sq.m., our library serves as the academic heart of our institution.

Automation started in 2011 with INFOWEAVER software and later migrated to KOHA, the Integrated Library Management Software. An information KIOSK machine installed in 2017 provides catalogue search and records student attendance.
Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is available through our library website, allowing users to access library resources from anywhere in the world.

Library General Rules
All the students and members on the staff are entitled to use the library for reference and borrowing books.
The Library is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all working days.
Students entering the library/reading room should be in possession of their identity cards, which will be checked at the lending and reference sections.
No personal articles, like books, umbrellas, folders etc. shall be taken by anyone into the library/reading room. All such articles shall be kept at the entrance at places assigned for the purpose before entering the library.
Strict silence should be observed in and around the library.
Each student will be issued two borrower’s tickets against each of which a book may be borrowed from the library. The ticket is not transferable and fine of Rs. 10/- will be charged for the loss of a borrower’s ticket.
Books and periodicals must be carefully examined at the time of issue. The borrower shall be held responsible for any damage detected later.
Members are not allowed to sub lend the books of the library.
All marking, underlining etc. in any book, manuscript or map belonging to the library is absolutely forbidden. If a book is lost, or if it is damaged by a member, he/she shall pay the cost of the book. If any one volume of a set is spoiled or damaged the whole set is to be replaced.
It shall be the duty of the Librarian and his staff to examine the books returned by the borrowers and to take immediate action on all cases of mutilation or damage.
The loan period of books is a fortnight, but any book may be recalled at any time by the Librarian, even if the period of loan has not expired. When a book is returned after the due date, the borrower will pay a fine of Re 1 per book per day.
Books of the reference section and periodicals will not be lent out. However they may be consulted within the library after making necessary entries and signing in the Reference Register.
III DC and II PG students have to return library books and cards on the dates prescribed by the Principal.
Before applying for any certificate from the College, members have to get clearance certificate from the library.
Membership card may be suspended or Caution Deposit withheld if anybody acts against the rules and discipline of the library.
Important Notice
All library users are expected to strictly adhere to these rules. Violation of any rule may result in suspension of library privileges or imposition of fines as specified.
